Hello To All,
This is our first message after the terrible flood of 2012.
We fully intend to move forward with the Scholarship Fund development, but only after a time out that will give our little town an opportunity to dry out and recover. In the fall of this year we will be making a special effort to contact former students of SVRHS and Perth High School to further spread the word about the Scholarship Fund plans. Stay tuned for that!!
The Class of '64 Scholarship Fund has grown to $2,300.00. We know of a couple more pledges that have yet to come in, so it looks like we will meet our personal goal. Thanks to all.
Reminder: Please send me your new email address if it changes for any reason as we want to keep everyone up-to-date.
Talk again soon............Jerry

Fellow Graduates of Southern Victoria Regional High School:
The Class of 1964 is currently in the process of creating a Scholarship Fund for the benefit of the future graduates of our community of Perth-Andover and the current catchment area.
We will be setting up and implementing the new Fund in co-operation with the school in the Spring of 2012. Please visit us at this site often to keep informed on the current status of the program.
Here is your chance to give something back to your school and community. Please contact us if you require additional information.
In a nutshell we are seeking classmates of each of the graduated classes from the beginning in the early 1950's to present day Class of 2012. Ideally we want 1-2 classmates of each class who will help us get in touch with their class members and spread the word that we are in the process of doing a fund raiser. If you would like to play a role in this endeavour, please contact me asap with thanks.

Hi Classmates:
I hope that your weather for this winter is as tame as ours in Eastern Passage, N.S. We've had little or no snow here and seem to miss every storm.......just the opposite of Perth-Andover.
Sandra and I plan to once again meet in the early spring and at that time we hope to have some news on the Scholarship Fund. We are presently waiting for the school to bring us up-to-date on their activities.
Hope that you are all well.

Hi Folks,
It's been a great year at least on this end of the world and I do hope it's the same with you classmates!
We hope to have some very interesting info for all of you regarding the Scholarship Fund and it's establishment at SVHS in the near future. Stay tuned on that one!!
On a personal note, I decided to continue my education and I am studying to be a Nutrition Specialist. Not only is better health on my mind, but also this will give me another tool to fight diabetes, prevent illness and make daily dietary decisions that could have a positive influence on my well-being. It's exciting!!!
Enough said for December. Please keep in touch and don't forget to inform me if you make any email address changes as it will make it much easier for us to keep you well informed of our upcoming 50th Anniversary Reunion in August 2014.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!!

I can relate. Can you?
IF MY BODY WERE A CAR...
If my body were a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model. I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting a little dull ......
But that's not the worst of it.
My headlights are out of focus and it's especially hard to see things up close
My traction is not as graceful as it once was. I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather.
My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins.
It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed. My fuel rate burns inefficiently.
But here's the worst of it --
Almost every time I sneeze, cough or sputter either my radiator leaks or my exhaust backfires!

Childbirth at 65
Too good not to pass on, Enjoy !!!
With all the new technology regarding fertility recently, a 65-year-old friend of mine was able to give birth. When she was discharged from the hospital and went home, I went to visit.
'May I see the new baby?' I asked
'Not yet,' She said 'I'll make coffee and we can visit for a while first.'
Thirty minutes had passed, and I asked, 'May I see the new baby now?'
'No, not yet,' She said.
After another few minutes had elapsed,
I asked again, 'May I see the baby now?'
'No, not yet,' replied my friend.
Growing very impatient, I asked, 'Well, when can I see the baby?'
'WHEN HE CRIES!' she told me.
'WHEN HE CRIES?' I demanded. 'Why do I have to wait until he CRIES?'
'BECAUSE I FORGOT WHERE I PUT HIM, O.K.?!!
Have a great Thanksgiving!!

Hi Folks,
Hope that you are all well and enjoying your summer!
We only managed to make a quick overnight trip to Perth-Andover earlier in August this year. Health issues shortened our stay unfortunately, so we missed a planned walk about at the Market on Saturday. My apologies to Charlene and anyone else who tried to hook up with us.
I noticed that we have to date had 5,458 hits on our web site. Considering that we are not registered with any of the major search engines such as Google etc., I think the hit number is quite impressive.
Now that Sherry & I have made our move to Eastern Passage, we plan to get together with Sandra soon to update our tentative plans for the BIG Class Of '64 Golden Anniversary in just 2 years & 11 months!
Talk again in October........................

June 21, 2011
Hi Classmates,
Sandra and I finally managed to meet a few days ago on June 9th. We had a very interesting conversation mostly about our tentative plans for the 50th Anniversary.
We will send out a summary of our suggested plans once we've heard back from the remainder of the Planning Committee, namely Betty and Charlene.
We now have $1,900.00 in the Scholarship Fund for 2014. Feel free to make your contribution soon, if it's convenient. The final deadline for contributions is still some distance away.
Sherry & I will be visiting Perth-Andover between July 14 (Thursday) and Saturday, July 16th. Hope to see some of you at the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning!
May you all have a great summer!

The balance of the account holding our scholarship funds remains at $1,800.00 to date. We have 6 classmates who have made pledges in addition to the $1,800.00. We are also hopeful that other 1964 Classmates will decide to joins us in building this worthwhile fund for the students of SVHS in 2014!
I'll be back here for another full update come September and once again hope that you will have a wonderful summer. Please don't hesitate to contact me or Sandra should you have any ideas for the next reunion or questions regarding any issue.

Hi Classmates:
Sandra & I plan to meet sometime next week. We will bring one another up-to-date on events that had taken place since last summer.
We also will draft an agenda for the 2014 50th Reunion on August 1st. While we still have a considerable amount of time remaining before 2014, it's a fact that the early bird usually catches the worm. To that end we hope that you will send us your thoughts on the 50th Anniversary at your earliest convenience!
We hope you are all well. Please take care of yourselves!
